Frequently Asked Questions

United Mobile Phlebotomy charges an out-of-pocket convenience fee for our mobile blood draw services. In some cases, you may be able to submit your receipt to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Once your specimens are collected, they are delivered to the laboratory (such as Quest Diagnostics or LabCorp). The testing performed by the lab is typically billed directly to your insurance and may be covered according to your plan. We always recommend confirming coverage with your insurance provider and checking with your preferred laboratory to avoid any unexpected costs.

Quest Diagnostics and Labcorp

Here are a few quick tips to help you prepare for your upcoming blood draw:Fasting: If your test requires fasting, avoid food/drinks (except water) for 8–12 hours before your appointment. Hydration: Drink plenty of water — it helps make your draw easier and faster.

Proper PPE: Our phlebotomists wear gloves, masks, and other protective equipment during
every visit.

Hand Hygiene: Hands are sanitized before and after each patient interaction.

Sterile Equipment: We use new, single-use needles and supplies for every patient — never reused, always properly disposed of.

Professional Procedures: All blood draws are performed by certified phlebotomists trained in infection control and specimen handling.

Clean Environment: Work areas are disinfected before and after each collection, whether in your home, office, or facility.

Secure Transport: Specimens are properly labeled, stored, and delivered to the designated laboratory under temperature-controlled conditions.

HIPAA Compliance: Your personal health information is always handled with confidentiality and care.

No problem! We make it easy to provide your lab order when booking with United Mobile Phlebotomy.
